Yesterday, I installed Linux Open Source OS on my own laptop...And really I am much delighted to see the practical merits of Opensource....It wonderfull to kick Microsoft's Ass by not paying 300 odd Euro and installing a wonderfull OS with diffrent servers and office utilities for free....And also not having the guilt feeling of using pirated software....
The looks are amazing and so is the ease of installation....:-) Just connect to internet and insert a DVD....further how to install gtalk, ymessenger and other utilities are detailed on web.
Right now this friend yours is most likely to be listening to some good authentic radio on net....with Ads but not with pirated music...
And post installation..it gives me opportunity to feel good about my engineering - management background.....scaling shell scripts at one end to understanding strategic management and finance consolidation on other.
